Etaluma Announces the Joining of John Osth as Senior Advisor
September 1, 2013 – (Carlsbad, CA) Etaluma announced today the appointment of Mr. John Osth as Senior Advisor. “John brings a wealth of practical knowledge and experience from both large clinical organizations and small start-ups. We are thrilled to have his guidance as Etaluma enters a rapid growth phase following the release of the Model 600 3-color Lumascope” commented Dr. Chris Shumate, President, CEO and co-Founder of Etaluma. Previously CEO of Celula, Inc., a venture-backed company pursuing non-invasive prenatal diagnostics, John has held senior level positions at Baxter Healthcare, including President of the Immunotherapy Division and head of European R&D. In addition, he has held senior management positions with Abbott Diagnostics and HematoLogics. His various management positions include: CEO, COO, Head of Manufacturing, Head of R&D, CFO and Head of Marketing. He is currently the CEO and a founder of QuantumCor, Inc. John received a Bachelor of Science degree from the U.S. Naval Academy, gaining a commission in the Navy, a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Illinois, and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
