With the renowned sensitivity of Etaluma’s fluorescence microscopes, it’s natural that we would tackle bioluminescence.  Nano-Luc™ (Promega) allows assays that GFP can’t address due to its size.  Until now, you may have done your luminescence plate reader cell assays without knowing where the expression was occurring in the cell. 

Etaluma’s new “Lumi” provides luminescence exposure times up to two orders of magnitude faster than any other luminescence microscope.  Along with bright field and phase contrast, the Lumi provides a microscopic view of your cells and their responses.

Unlike fluorescence with its associated phototox, Lumi can watch your cells in real time for hours or even days in your incubator.  Imagine a continuous live video feed of your cells as they attach and divide and respond to your screen.

Lumi is a short optical path, inverted wide field microscope that measures total luminescence in your cells or tissue.
