The results using the LumaScope are being presented in the Theme H poster session to highlight the extensive potential of the LumaScope as a laboratory tool in the education arena. Etaluma has been developing the LumaScope with teaching labs in mind: it is an inexpensive, compact, sturdy, laboratory-grade inverted fluorescence microscope, designed with a focus on dramatically increased ease-of-use and immediate accessibility. The quality and variety of images resulting from pilot experiments and demonstrations of the LumaScope with varied preparations will be presented. Further discussion about possible applications, features, and options is welcomed from all interested parties.
