Our LS Microscopes
LS620 Microscope
The LS620 easily records your photos, time-lapse series, and videos directly to your computer.
LS620 Microscope
Blue, Green, and Red Fluorescence,
Brightfield, and Optional Phase Contrast
Use the LS620 to visualize and capture high resolution fluorescence images comparable to those from traditional, high-cost microscopes. LS Microscopes utilize LED light sources, Semrock filters, advanced optical engineering, and CMOS sensors to provide near diffraction-limited (theoretical maximum) resolution. Powered only by its USB connection, the LS620 easily records your photos, time-lapse series, and live videos directly to your computer. And its compact size enables working in challenging locations, including inside incubators, biological safety cabinets, and environmental control workstations. The LS620 provides blue, green and red fluorescence imaging at low cost for a wide variety of applications!

4-Channel LS620 Microscope
Features and Benefits
BPAE cells stained to show nuclei (blue), alpha-tubulin (green), and F-actin (red) on an LS 620; LifeTech FluoCells slide #2; 40x Olympus objective.
- Fully functioning microscope empowers users to visualize cells from slides, microplates, flasks, or dishes
- Versatile and compact design permits use inside cell culture incubators, tissue culture hoods, and environmental workstations
- Robust software enables time-lapse studies over seconds, minutes, hours, or days
- Modern LED and optical design lowers cost and eliminates cumbersome, difficult to maintain laser-driven and arc lamp systems
- Power and control via USB connection facilitates rapid set up and easy use
- Custom optimized filter set detects a range of blue, green and red fluorophores, including BFP, DAPI, FITC, Fluo-4, GFP, and mCherry
- Advanced optics provide excellent resolution in ambient lighting conditions
- Objective compatibility with standard lenses allows use of your own objectives
- Optional Phase Contrast Accessory enhances visualization of unstained samples
The LS620 is the most powerful digital microscope offered anywhere at this price. Like the earlier LS600, it utilizes a Semrock Brightline® Pinkel filter set optimized for 405 nm, 488 nm, and 594 nm LED light sources. The 5-filter set is comprised of 3 exciting filters, 1 triple-band emitting filter, and 1 beam-splitting filter. The LS620 also contains the same CMOS sensor as the LS600 that is larger than the sensor used in LS520 and LS420.

What’s included with the LS620
The LS620 comes with the new black anodized deck with tab off the back for mounting the Phase Contrast Accessory (see Products/Phase Contrast & Other Accessories) and accessible deck feature. The accessible deck includes a removable insert that when removed provides easy access to the objective for quick switching to another one. Also, on the underside of the right end of the deck are 2 tapped holes for mounting the optional Manual XY Stage (see Optional Accessories below).
The LS620 also comes with a USB power/communication cable for connecting to a computer, fluorescence shroud, and external power supply/cord with country-appropriate plug for situations requiring brighter lighting (typically not needed).
The LS620 is controlled by Lumaview software that can be downloaded at no charge from the Etaluma website (see Resources/Downloads).
Objectives are sold separately (see Products/Objectives).
